HEALTH CARE FOR ALL
At the last UE convention in Chicago delegates unanimously recommitted to the resolution called Health Care for All to address the state of our inadequate health care system. Delegates called for the passage of the House Bill H.R. 676 The United States National Health Insurance Act also referred to as "Expanded and ImprovedMedicare for All Act". Rep. Conyers of Michigan introduced this bill in 2003.
In addition, UE members, locals, and districts are encouraged to participate in coalitions working for single-payer health care reform:
